I have been trying to think of a legitimate answer to this for a long long time now!
I always have a sort of nigh-religious expectation of endings. It’s tough to think of any that really, really live up to a perfect work. Bioshock, for example, is one of the greatest games of all time, but once you hit the third act, things completely lag until you get to the sweet ending cutscene.
